WELCOME to our monthly collection where we post interesting and fun information; stuff we came across that caught our attention or tickled our funny bone, or inspired action.
The picture above is what I collected on a recent walk. There are signs of spring if you look closely!
We are in the middle of a building our home while living in it. This article has some really good advice for being content with your home no matter what stage it is in.

I opened this book recently to get help in removing a stain on a shirt. Modern Mrs. Darcy has an interesting review of this housekeeping reference book. It just may inspire you to put your heart into spring cleaning. Read about it here. This detailed tome of 896 pages is the only housekeeping book you will need.
I’ve been using this wardrobe formula the last few months: 8/4/2/1. I chose 8 dresses, from dressy to casual. Next I selected 4 layers( sweater, etc.) that will each go with most of the dresses. Add in 2 pairs of shoes and one special item, which can be anything. I’ve found this amount of clothes covers for any event I encounter. Try it for three months and see how it makes your life easier.
I’ve been making these Simply Zucchini Muffins a lot. We eat them for breakfast or snacks. They freeze well and are healthy-ish, too.
A Wonderful Word
Gluggavedur: GLU-ka-ve-duh. An Icelandic word that literally means “window weather”, weather that looks beautiful while you’re inside, but is much too cold when you step outside. All the window weather in Iceland has created a nation of writers and bookworms. Iceland has more writers, more books published, and more books read, per capita, than anywhere else in the world.

Here is one for all you book lovers out there! These cases caught my eye. Too bad my phone isn’t due a new case yet. These are definitely on the list of possibilities. Check them out at this shop on Etsy.
A Patch of Old Snow
There's a patch of old snow in the corner
That I should have guessed
Was a blown-away paper the rain
Had brought to rest.
It is speckled with grime as if
Small print overspread it,
The news of a day I've forgotten--
If I ever read it.
--Robert Frost
